Located just a few miles northwest of Downtown, Highlands / West Highlands real estate offers suburban life qualities and trendy shopping and eateries. STRIVE Prep is a charter school for 6th to 8th graders and Escuela De Guadalupe is a private school with grades K-5.
Attraction and Things to Do Around West Highlands
West Highlands feels like a nice cozy neighborhood but is close to various urban destinations. Sloans lake is very close by and offers a nearly 3-mile circumference and fun attractions such as the annual dragon boat races. Lowell Blvd and 32nd have shopping centers with great food, fun nightlife, and many unique one-of-a-kind stores.
West Highlands is also only 5-10 minutes from Downtown and 15-20 minutes from Red Rocks amphitheater. This neighborhood is a hotspot for those who enjoy the energy of city living but want a house outside downtown boundaries. The architectural designs range from brick Bungalows to modern lofts, Tudors, and historic mansions sitting on well-manicured, tree-lined streets. Residents in this area have easy access to many of Denver’s main commuting routes such as I-70, I-25, and Speer Blvd. Highland Square is a major focal point in this area with many hip shops and restaurants and coffee shops.
