Lisa Manzo, LUX. Denver Advisor
Lisa’s background is in clinical social work and health care. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri in St. Louis, and a master’s degree from the University of Denver. In both healthcare and social work, she has worked intimately with people at stages when trust, discretion, confidentiality, and attention to the unique needs of each person are imperative. Today she applies that same standard of care with each and every client in her real estate practice.
Understanding and meeting her client’s needs is her top priority. Lisa’s past experience spans from creating and executing a finely crafted marketing plan to sell their home, finding the perfect new home for hosting large family holidays, locating high return investment properties, and guiding first home-buyers toward their future residence. Lisa listens and understands exactly what you are looking for. Having worked in the Denver real estate market for nearly ten years she is in tune with how to navigate the market to your best advantage.
In her spare time, Lisa loves previewing properties, exploring Denver and the mountain towns, dining out, cooking for friends and family, sipping wine on her patio, or marching for a cause.
Q&A with Lisa
1. What do you love about your job?
While I could write novels detailing how this is rewarding to me, the bottom line is that I love helping people take the right steps to realize their dreams with as little stress as possible.
2. What sets you apart from the competition?
I value the people in my life. This attitude affords me to keep my eye on the big picture. That translates to an extremely strong position in any negotiation and an atmosphere of power in the marketplace.
3. What is your favorite neighborhood in Denver?
What is not! For walkability and that small community feel I love the areas of Berkeley, Sunnyside, Edgewater, The Highlands, West Highlands and Lohi and the Sante Fe arts district. For a community with walkability and established parks, golf courses, the Zoo, and museums; Washington Park, Platte Park, City Park, Congress Park and Cheesman Park are all great locations with a variety of architectural styles. While completing my master’s degree at Denver University I fell in love with the academic values and the multicultural reality that the school brings to that neighborhood. The tech center is a great place for work/fun combination. It is a fun, vibrant and accessible community. Whether checking out the live music at Fiddler’s Green or hopping on the convenient light rail for a quick trip downtown the tech center area and its homes are perfect for families along with the condos for those preferring to ditch a yard. For a traditional estate feel I love the Cherry Creek area with the big old homes that are reminiscent of the Plaza area where I grew up in Kansas City. There are at least a handful of qualities in almost every area in Denver. It is a real pleasure to help people match their lifestyle to an ideal neighborhood here.
4. What organizations are you passionate about being involved with?
In the last several years I have transitioned my concentration towards policies and contributions that support local and global human rights, safe and dignified living environments, clean and safe water and air supplies. When I do get involved in the hands-on level I like volunteering with Habitat For Humanity. Housing hits a soft spot with me.
5. What do you hear are the most common reasons people love working with you?
They feel supported and taken care of. That is a huge reward for me; to hear people say I did a great job for them.
6. Why did you choose LUX. Denver?
I respect and recognize the supportive team atmosphere and the integrity of each member.
“I want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for just how amazing you were during the sale of our Condo in Washington Park. As out of state property owners, we were extremely concerned about how we could meet all of the demands on us once we decided to sell. You made the experience trouble free and eliminated the normal stress that comes with selling a property. Right away you took charge, prioritized what was needed, and smoothly handled the details. From scheduling the inspections and listing the property to overseeing needed upgrades you were nothing short of remarkable to work with. Your winning combination of attention to detail and intuition helps you see every angle of the sale. For example, during our sale, you not only developed a productive rapport with the buyer and their agent but also worked with our long-time renter making sure she felt considered and fairly treated. Most importantly, you were able to find the right buyer in three days between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays! Quite an accomplishment. Our only sadness is that you don’t live in California so you could be our agent here! In working with other realtors we sadly miss your perceptiveness and thoughtful insight into the market. Most importantly we appreciate how you took the time to really understand our needs and made them a top priority.”
